About the Program

The FPHTC Online Mentor Program is funded by a federal grant awarded to the USF Center for Leadership in Public Health Practice (CLPHP) by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) to develop the technical, scientific, managerial, and leadership competencies and capabilities of the current and future public health workforce in Florida and nationally.

It is specifically designed to meet the Core Competency for Public Health Professionals 8A6: “Participates in mentoring and peer review or coaching opportunities.” The program also meets one of the 10 Public Health Essential Services: “Assure a competent public health and personal health care workforce.”
